Ok, you guys know how lazy I am! So, if I am ACTUALLY REVIEWING(read take the pains to review, I actually loved the movie so much, I felt I owe it.
Not to forget it is not something that only I liked! All the RJs on all the stations, RED FM, Mirchi ,OYE, or Fever in Mumbai are all head over heels for it.
Continuously on air, one hears praises for it.
Trust, me. It's true. I'm not paid for anything.(Need to clear that, as from painted and dainted women, to what not, digital content these days is always looked at as if bought by the producers, the directors, politicians, some terrorists and what not!)
Ok, so now the review. A must watch! (And I'm no fan of Kangana, really)
The ONLY Indian movie to get 9.2 on IMDB. Or, so said a friend.
To me it was my first– first day first show. It was not house full. But the crowd had families and many many women even in that late night show.
Why should you watch it?
- It's what Jab We Met was for Kareena. Kangana's best so far.Amazing performance by all the foreign stars that make you laugh and feel
- You fall in love with the happy faces in the London Thumakda song on a big screen. Amazing cinematography.
- Every character has done justice. Believable. Sprung out of a real life.(Even the little boy who shares screen for 1 minute and says, "Bhaiya apko 'I love you' bol rahe hain. Lol)
- Feel good feel in the end
- Stunning Lisa Haydon as Vijay Laxmi, lol. and the interestingly frownable expressions of Rani (Kangana's dad) and her brother
- P.S: Not one has rated it below a 4 star!
You learn to 'let go' and 'live' your own life before it's too late.
Amazing moments, no one would have ever told you.
'Maine hamesha sabki baat maani hai, Papa, Ma, Bhaiya, Chacha, Vijay– han Vijay bhi. Kisika bhi naam le lo. Maine uski baat maani hai'
We all would have met such a character in our life. Makes you relate. The innocence grips you.
In the end the movie shakes you.
ANOTHER WARNING:
DO NOT leave the hall before the credits in the end!!! That's THE BEST PART of the movie. The pictures that Rani (Queen- Name of the movie is the literal translation of her name that she explains to the foreignors) posts on facebook and the comments and likes on those pictures are the most fascinating!! How I wish, it was not on a side but on the larger screen!!!
My only COMPLAIN however, was lack of subtitles!!!! I so wanted to know what the Japanese and Russian guy communicated in their language.
